I recently went up to Bangkok to help Gonzo celebrate the
15th anniversary of his 21st birthday. I had some air miles
I had to use up and decided to stay at the Citidines propety
on Soi 23 just down from Soi Cowboy. Check in was painless
and the staff was quite friendly. The room included a breakfast,
which I made only one day. Very sparse on the brekkie choices,
coffee, juice some pastries, and fruit. The hotel is guest friendly
and a short 3 minute walk from Cowboy.

Nice enough room although some might consider it small. The rooms
are set up for "long stay" with full dishes, cook top, fridge, and microwave.
The room is also equiped with internet access through a wired connection
that was not blazing fast but adequate. The flat screen TV was set up on a
sliding track system that allowed you to slide it between the 2 "rooms" if you
felt like sitting on the couch or working at the desk provided. In the pics you can see
a white room partition that slides open to seperate the rooms if you choose to.
One thing I did like was the bed was quite comfortable and the bedding was
first class, I slept like a log while there! Shower and tiolet were in a communal room that
was ok...... good water pressure. About the only thing I did not like was the
pool and gym are on the top floor and the weight room must have been right
over mine, as I could hear the idiots above me dropping the free weights on
the floor as I tried to sleep in!

They have several properties in Bangkok and I assume the rooms are all set
up the same....... here is the link.

jame9247, interesting to see your favourable report. I was thinking of staying in the soi 23 Citadines. That was untill I saw several bad reports about the soi 11 and soi 23 Citadines on a well known Bangkok board. How much did you pay a night?
    Simie.
